During the design process, Mhd Al Sidawi faced several challenges. The folding system with a three-legged structure required careful study to ensure the chair's balancing and the safety of the user. Additionally, the goal was to create a chair that was not only compact and lightweight but also attractive, unlike any other temporary furniture item.

The Flipp Chair project started in September 2016 and was completed in October 2016 as a side project in Istanbul, Turkey. The design was born out of the need for temporary furniture that could adapt to different spaces and events. Mhd Al Sidawi's research focused on creating a practical and distinctive seating solution that combines function, minimalism, and comfort.

The Flipp Chair has received recognition for its outstanding design. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category in 2017. This prestigious award is bestowed upon designs that exhibit strong technical and creative skills and contribute to quality of life improvements.
